Dear Pilot,

We are very happy to welcome you to XII EUROTOUR F5J Masters 2024 edition this will take place in Escalona del Prado (Segovia) in April 27th and 28th.

We are already working hard to bring for you an even better edition of our famous F5J Masters.

And the best way you can help us to prepare it is you make a pre-inscription in our web page.

We are happy to announce that pre-inscriptions are open.

 This year, we have four things:

1.- We have agreed with its organizers, the inclusion of this tournament in the Iberian Trophy 2024, along with the Open Pikuinhas F5J. So our competition apart from EUROTOUR, will count as NATIONAL OPEN and for this IBERIAN TROPHY.

2.-There will be a Fly-off. We will try to fly to more rounds in the Sunday morning. In our contest where only 3 or 4 groups will be done and, we hope, we will be flying 10 -11 rounds, timetable details to be updated in future bulletins.

3.- In our constant strive for improvement, in this edition we want to be at the forefront of the formula taking the reins of the latest technological advances that

In this edition no field timekepeers will be used. But Independent judges in field.

To achieve this ambitious goal, our sponsor, GliderKeeper, will provide us with all the necessary infrastructure, support and equipment.

But what happens if I don’t have a GliderKeeper? No problem, the organization will provide you with a device and will help you to set it up and configure it. A deposit must be left for this purpose, which will be returned at the end of the competition when the device is returned.

Those pilots who use a non-automatic timing altimeter will NOT have a dedicated timekeeper for them, but we will be using the electronic recording of their devices to evaluate their timing. According to 5.5.11.1.3. k) of SC4_Vol_F5_Electric_24, at least one official flight will be done with a GliderKeeper Pico on board to perform a data calibration for their altitude vs time plots.

Example: a pilot with no GliderKeeper Pico on board made this flight. After taking his/her landing distance and have confirmation the landing was made within working time by the CD, he goes to control and this plot is obtained. By zooming around the Judge stablishes the landing moment to be in second 1093,8 and the take off in second 203,5. This results by simple subtraction in a flight of 863,3 seconds that is 14 min 23 seconds, seems to be a flyoff flight.

Pilots are advised to have their fuselages ready for that. GliderKeeper Pico is to be furnished by organization. Pilots are responsible to provide with graphical reading SW for their equipment.

AMRT with no graphical logging feature will take a GliderKeeper Pico all the flights.

With all above we are still chasing our compromise to have the contest with more flights and fun of the area with a total of 10(ten)-12 (twelve) competition flights per person.

4.- We have organized for a Prestige Trophy to be the permanent demonstration of our values which will be shared by the winners of this and future editions.

Escalona del Prado provides us the most open and wide flying camp we can find in Spain enabled for F5J. You could start training flights on the Friday afternoon. It’s a nice experience.

We want specially thank Municipality of Escalona del Prado and their inhabitants all the help they are providing us to count with the Best Time Keepers. They are young enthusiasts that give us generously part or their free time to make possible this great event!

The contest agenda will be:

  • Accreditations:  Friday from 16:00 till 18:00 and Saturday from 9:00 till 10:00
  • NEW A demo F5L Competition is scheduled for Friday afternoon, details to follow
  • Flights: Saturday from 10:30 till 19:00 (8-9)
  • Flights Sunday from 9:00 till 12:00 (2-3)
  • Flyoff (not later than) 13:00
  • Awards Ceremony 14:00

Inscription fee:  60€.

 Refundable deposit for lending a GliderKeeper gear: 75€*

By the moment you have to make your reservations in the hotels of the area or just plan for a Camping in the site and make your pre inscription in our web page.

Pilots planning for camping at the site, please send us a separate email to improve camping site planning.

Remember you will not secure your participation until you have confirmed payment. However, the first 60 pilots pre-registered will have priority from the rest.

LOCAL RULE XI F5J MASTERS 2024 (April 27th 28th), Escalona del Prado, Spain

1.- All models, up to 3 per competitor, must carry an AMRT with FAI approved Fw valid for SECOND -class or FIRST-class competitions, i.e. emergency restart will be allowed, scoring zero points for the flight in which emergency restart has been used.

  1. – Automated flight timekeeping from motor ON signal to first contact to terrain is allowed.
  2. – For automated timing equipment, the working time window check shall also be evaluated automatically.
  3. – The pilots agree to supply their Altimeter logs at once for verification upon Competition Director request. In particular agree to follow organization directions according to 5.5.11.1.3. k) of SC4_Vol_F5_Electric_24
  4. – Although the data collection of the competition will be automated, the organization will provide timing judges who will be in charge of monitoring the correct compliance with the rules as well as auditing the flight records of all participants when deemed necessary.

Estimados pilotos,

Estamos muy contentos de daros la bienvenida a la XII edición del EUROTOUR F5J Masters 2024 que tendrá lugar en Escalona del Prado (Segovia) los días 27 y 28 de abril.

Ya estamos trabajando duro para ofreceros una edición aún mejor de nuestro famoso F5J Masters.

Y la mejor manera que tienes de ayudarnos a prepararla es haciendo una pre-inscripción en nuestra página web.

Nos complace anunciar que las preinscripciones estan abiertas.

Este año, tenemos cuatro cosas:

1.-Hemos acordado con sus organizadores, la inclusión de este torneo en el Trofeo Ibérico 2024, junto con el Open Pikuinhas F5J. Por lo que nuestra competición aparte del EUROTOUR, contará como OPEN NACIONAL y para este TROFEO IBÉRICO.

2.-Habrá un Fly-off. Intentaremos volar más rondas en la mañana del domingo. En nuestro concurso donde solo se harán 3 o 4 grupos y, esperamos, estar volando 10 -11 rondas, los detalles de horarios se actualizarán en próximos boletines.

  1. – En nuestro constante afán de superación, en esta edición queremos estar a la vanguardia de la fórmula tomando las riendas de los últimos avances tecnológicos.

En esta edición no tendremos cronometradores humanos. Sino jueces de supervisión.

Para lograr este ambicioso objetivo, nuestro patrocinador, GliderKeeper, nos proporcionará toda la infraestructura, el apoyo y el equipamiento necesarios.

Pero, ¿qué pasa si no tengo un GliderKeeper? No hay problema, la organización te proporcionará un dispositivo y te ayudará a instalarlo y configurarlo. Para ello se deberá dejar una fianza, que será devuelta al final de la competición cuando se devuelva el dispositivo.

Aquellos pilotos que utilicen un altímetro de cronometraje no automático NO, sino que usaremos los registros electrónicos de sus dispositivos. De acuerdo con 5.5.11.1.3. k) de SC4_Vol_F5_Electric_24 al menos un vuelo oficial será comprobado con un GlideKeeper Pico de la organización.

Ejemplo un pilot@ sin GliderKeeper Pico abordo hizo este vuelo. Despues de comprobar su distancia de aterrizaje y que éste se hizo durante el tiempo de trabajo por el director de la competicion, en cotrol se dibuja este grafico hacienda zoom en las zonas de interes el juez establece que el momento del aterrizaje fue en el segundo 1093,8 y el despegue en el 203,5. Resultando por una sencilla substración en un vuelo de 863,3 segundos, o lo que es lo mismo 14 min 23 segundos, parece que fue un vuelo de flyoff.

Los pilotos están avisados de llevar sus fuselajes preparados. Es responsabilidad del pilot facilitar el SW de descarga y evaluación de los gráficos tiempo altura de sus dispositivos. Aquellos AMRT que no dispongan de registro de datos llevarán en todo momento un GliderKeeper Pico.

Con todo lo anterior seguimos persiguiendo nuestro compromiso de realizar el concurso con más vuelos y diversión de la zona con un total de 10(diez)-12 (doce) vuelos de competición por persona.

4.- Si, ya va la docena y para celebrarlo. Hemos organizado el poder poseer un Trofeo de Prestigio que será compartido por el ganador y los ganadores de las sucesivas ediciones.

Escalona del Prado nos proporciona el campo de vuelo más abierto y amplio que podemos encontrar en España habilitado para F5J. Podrás empezar los vuelos de entrenamiento el viernes por la tarde. Es una bonita experiencia.

Queremos agradecer especialmente al Ayuntamiento de Escalona del Prado y a sus habitantes toda la ayuda que nos están prestando para contar con los Best Time Keepers. Son jóvenes entusiastas que nos regalan generosamente parte de su tiempo libre para hacer posible este gran evento.

El programa del concurso será:

– Acreditaciones:  Viernes de 16:00 a 18:00 y Sábado de 9:00 a 10:00

– Una Competición Demo de F5L El Viernes por la tarde

– Vuelos: Sábado de 10:30 a 19:00 (8-9)

– Vuelos Domingo de 9:00 a 12:00 (2-3)

Tasa de inscripción : 60€.

Iremos publicando tanto a través de boletines como en nuestra web los detalles pertinentes para que tengas la mejor experiencia en este concurso.

Por el momento tienes que hacer tus reservas en los hoteles de la zona o simplemente planificar un Camping en el sitio y hacer tu preinscripción en nuestra página web. Aquellos pilotos que planeen hacer acampada en La Campa, por favor enviadnos un mail para coordinar la zona de camping.

Recuerda que no asegurarás tu participación hasta que no hayas confirmado el pago. No obstante, los primeros 60 pilotos preinscritos tendrán prioridad sobre el resto.

REGLA LOCAL XI F5J MASTERS 2024 (27 y 28 de Abril), Escalona del Prado, España

1.- Todos los modelos, hasta 3 por participante, deberán portar un AMRT (altímetro FAI) con Fw homologado FAI, válido para competiciones de SEGUNDA clase o de PRIMERA clase, esto es: se permitirá re-arranque de emergencia, puntuando cero puntos el vuelo en el que arranque de emergencia haya sido utilizado.

2.- Se permite el cronometraje automatizado del tiempo de vuelo desde la señal de encendido del motor hasta el primer contacto con el terreno.

3.- En el caso de los equipos de cronometraje automatizados, la comprobación de la ventana de tiempo de trabajo también se evaluará automáticamente.

4.- Los pilotos se comprometen a suministrar sus registros de altímetro de inmediato para su verificación a petición de los directores de la competición. En particular acuerdan seguir las instrucciones de la organización de acuerdo a 5.5.11.1.3. k) de SC4_Vol_F5_Electric_24.

5.- Aunque la toma de datos del concurso estará automatizada, la organización proveerá de jueces cronometradores que estarán al cargo de vigilar el correcto cumplimiento de la normativa, así como auditar los registros de vuelo de todos los participantes cuando se considere necesario.
